What is the issue ??
Through out 2021 and 2022, a Russian military build-up on the border of Ukraine escalated tensions between the two countries and strained their bilateral relations. Ukraine broke diplomatic relations with Moscow in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Previous Matter
- After the Soviet Union (USSR) dissolved in 1991, the newly independent republics of Ukraine and Russia maintained ties. Ukraine agreed in 1994 to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and dismantle the nuclear weapons in Ukraine left by the USSR. In return, Russia, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US) agreed in the Budapest Memorandum to uphold the territorial integrity of Ukraine
Casualties of the Russo-Ukrainian War
- Air raid sirens wailed in Kyiv and across all Ukrainian regions, Unconfirmed Ukrainian social media reports said the alert may have been declared after Russian jets took to the skies in Belarus. Reuters was unable to immediately verify that information.
- In March and April 2021, Russia began a major military build-up near the Russo-Ukrainian border.on 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014. The invasion has caused tens of thousands of deaths on both sides and Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II. About 8 million Ukrainians were displaced within their country by late May, and more than 7.9 million fled the country by 3 January 2023.

UN Report About This War
No chance for serious peace negotiations yet, says UN chief. The UN Secretary-General said on Wednesday that he did not believe that there was an opportunity yet, to organize “a serious peace negotiation” between the warring parties in Ukraine, nearly a year on from Russia's full-scale invasion
