It got name Toad as the rock sculpture resembles tortoise and is about to jump in Nakki lake. Toad Rock is one of the most frequently visited places in Mount Abu. Being at a height you have to climb up to experience a panoramic view of the city and this sight can be said as a heaven for photographers. 

Tip = As the staircase that leads to the Toad Rock is broken so people should keep in mind the safety and old people should avoid.

2. Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

The place was a forest before 1980 in the Aravalli mountains and cover an area of around 290 km. It was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1980 and has various species of flora and fauna also you can see here lions, tigers, leopard and some rare species that are seen here are wild boar, jungle cat, wolf, hyena, jackal, and many more other wild animals. Not just animals but over 250 species of birds can be watched here in Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary.

3. Archaleswar Mahadev Temple

Archaleswar Mahadev Temple
This temple is the oldest temple in Mount Abu and popularly known for its naturally occurring Shiv Linga. According to tales, it is believed that this temple was built in 2nd sanctuary and was dedicated to Lord Shiva. When you will visit the temple, you can see the foot impressions of Lord Shiva himself.

5. Nakki Lake

This Lake is the most popular place in Mount Abu and is a paradise for nature lovers. It is believed that God dug out the lake by using their nails to make a shelter from the demons. Also, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed here and Gandhi Ghat was also made and now it’s a monument here.

This Tank was made by an engineer Col. GH Trevor, it is a man-made crocodile breeding spot. Trevor’s tank is located 5 km from Mount Abu city. Now this place is a picnic spot for tourists and locals as the place has various species of flora and fauna, the place also houses a black bear. Most photographers visit here to capture the birds.

10. Gaumukh Temple 

Gaumukh Temple
The Gaumukh Temple is one of the most popular places in Mount Abu and the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. One has to climb 700 stairs to reach the temple and inside the temple, you can see many sculptures. One of the statues inside the temple is Nandi which was the divine bull of Lord Shiva, the statue is made of marble and a water stream comes out of its mouth. From the temple, one can see a mind-blowing view of the surrounding valley.
